1966 Toyota Land Cruiser (factory soft top-restored)

This incredible 1966 Toyota Land Cruiser w/ Factory Soft Top is currently available on ebay

Here’s an opportunity to own an incredible Concours Winning Factory Soft Top FJ40 Landcruiser. This FJ40 received a 3-year complete bare metal nut and bolt restoration to the highest standard. The restoration was completed in 2013. It has been driven 151 miles since being finished.

Originally sold at Hil Probert Motors in Lakespur , California (see inner glove box decal), and still wearing its original California black plates to this day.

This 1966 cruiser started out as a dry and complete California example, never hit, original Volcanic Beige paint, a true cream puff and the best possible base car you could ever hope to find for a full blown nut and bolt restoration.

The restoration was a team effort involving some highly respected Landcruiser experts based out of the Pacific Northwest. Genesis 4 wheel drive, Metric TLC, and Landcruiser Northwest.

I have a 3 ring binder full of all documentation pertaining to the restoration.

Every component is restored, rebuilt, detailed, plated, accurately reproduced, etc.

Many New Old Stock parts were used during the build. It has correct coral red upholstery, proper red seat belts, khaki green soft top and soft doors, proper canvas safety straps for the door openings, correct decals. I also have a rebuilt Jack with handles, and a restored hand crank start handle that are included.

Drivetrain is a freshly rebuilt 2F with a 4 speed; it was built to be a great driver.

I’m a firm believer in pictures being worth a thousand words. Please see my gallery for as found, under construction, and finished photos.

This beauty was debuted at the 2013 Forest Grove Concours D Elegance where it won its class and was runner up for best in show post-war. Not an easy task by any means.

If you’re just starting your search for an investment grade FJ, I’d recommend taking a few minutes to browse this article recently published by Hemmings Motor News, particularly Item #3:

http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/01/02/five-car-hobby-predictions-for-the-coming-year/

The reason for selling is I’m making a move on a once in a lifetime muscle car that is available.

Has a clean CA title.

Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 1970 (one original owner)

I love the patina on this 1970 Toyota Land Cruiser…to me this is what a land cruiser that you plan on using should look like…a trail blazer…love it! This sweetheart is currently for sale on Ebay.

One owner, bought new 1970 in CA, still have much of the original paperwork, books, manuals, receipts, original tool kit, jack etc. Spent about 4k recently to bring it back out of the garage and to back to public eye. Still have all the original parts that were replaced and still have about 2k worth of new OEM parts that go with it. Runs and drives great, very very original and not ever hacked up. All the parts new and old are in mostly original boxes and will go with the sale (see pic) The original working Warn Winch will also go with the sale (see pic) there is only one spot of rust on the entire FJ and its along the floor lip under rear door area, otherwise it is completly rust free as far as we can tell today. So much is new with Toyota replacement parts to make it dependable and reliable again. 5 new oem wheels and tires, and hubcaps, all 8 wheel cylinders, fuel lines, fuel pump, water pump, radiator, hoses, belts and new in boxes are new headliner, new rear window glass, all new replacement bumpers many many more new items, we just got carried away trying to buy new things to have it restored. After we got it on the road the shop doing the work said we should keep it original and enjoy it but we cant really use it anymore. Any questions please ask, its a wonderful rig and a joy to drive. The green mini bike comes with the FJ included in the sale.

1970 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40

Fashion Green/ Grey

7 Year Rotisserie Restoration

This matching numbers FJ-40 was rescued from the Nevada desert in amazingly original condition. It was complete and unmolested, right down to the original factory hose clamps. The truck was completely disassembled and underwent a restoration that was completed in September of 2013. The entire powertrain was completely rebuilt reusing the restored original components such as the alternator, carburetor and starter. The engine was bored .040″ over and received a new cam, lifters, pistons, timing components, bearings, gaskets and seals. The transmission, transfer case and axles were meticulously rebuilt, receiving new bearings and seals throughout. All of the vehicle’s components were reassembled with the original replated bolts and hardware. Genuine Toyota parts were used throughout the restoration and great care was taken to preserve or recreate the factory paint marks and part labels. The same care and attention was given to the underside of the vehicle. The frame, axle housings, all of the chassis and steering components, as well as the bumpers and wheels were powder coated in their original colors. All of the original brake and fuel hard lines were replated and reused. The body retains it all of its original sheet metal and floors. It was completely stripped to bare metal, epoxy primed and finished on a rotisserie using high quality PPG Deltron paint in the rare original Toyota Fashion Green color. All of the rubber components were replaced during reassembly and with the exception of the wing and corner windows, all new tempered glass was installed. Almost all of the original hardware, such as the bolts, nuts, hose clamps, hard lines and brackets were individually hand stripped, re-plated and reused. The original wire harness was restored using new brass terminals and new plastic connectors. The interior upholstery was faithfully reproduced and even the characteristic spot weld “dimples” were carefully preserved on the exterior of the body. We will ship all over the world.

1968 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 (BARN FIND – FIXER UPPER)

Here is a good fixer upper on ebay right now..I like the vibe of the faded red!

1968 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ40 / All Original BARN FIND / Clean / NOTHING Rusted Through / PTO WINCH / Original Paint

Original owner bought new from Roseburg Oregon dealership (see documents) in 1968.  It was then sold to son-in-law who drove it into his barn in 1991 & that is where it stayed for the last 23 years.  Son-in-law claims that the odometer has NOT flipped, but I obviously can’t guarantee that?  The bumpers are banged up from moving it around in the barn over the years by pushing it with a tractor.  Since being pulled from barn all that has been done to it is exterior soap & water wash & interior clean up/critter removal.  Decided to sell as a non-runner when I noticed that the rats had done some electrical work. Noticed some chewed wires on engine side of firewall & some more back by fuel tank.  I did not notice any chewed up interior wires.  Engine turns over fine with a jumper on the starter so shouldn’t be too tough to get going, I just don’t have the time & it’s really not my thing.  This truck still has a headliner, original seats (driver’s side recovered @ some point), PTO winch, under seat tool tote (incomplete), partial owners manual (rats), jack, service booklet, some chains, extra wiper arm under seat, hitch ball, original keys, etc.

The roof lining is original but sags in places. Rear tires 31x10x50LT, Sunraysia wheels, rear-mounted spare wheel holder.  VIN:Please note the VIN is all zeros in the ad because this is an imported vehicle from Australia. *Comes with clear Washington State title.
