The body is said to have been repainted in its current shade of metallic gray in 2013, and weatherstripping around the windows was replaced at this time. Paint protection film has reportedly been applied to the body panels, and a TLC front bumper with auxiliary LED lights and a Warn M8000-S winch have been added, along with White Knuckle rock sliders, an ARB roof rack with LED light bars, a 4×4 Labs rear bumper, and 3M window tint. Close-up photos of the bodywork, trim, and glass are provided in the image gallery below.
Black Rock 17″ wheels are wrapped in Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 tires that measure 285/70 at all four corners. The front axle features manually-locking hubs, while the rear axle can be locked remotely via a compressed air-powered ARB air locker system. A matching full-size spare is mounted on a swing-out rear carrier, and additional modifications include Old Man Emu shocks and steering stabilizer along with front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Work carried out during the 2016 refurbishment included replacement of the leaf springs, shackles, front wheel bearings, tie rods, sway bar end links, and rear brake drums. The front steering knuckles were recently serviced according to the seller.
The cabin features re-upholstered gray vinyl seats, along with two-tone door panels with factory cloth inserts and darker gray carpets. Line-X bedliner material has reportedly been added to the floors, and interior features include an aftermarket switch panel mounted below the center stack, air conditioning, LED gauge cluster lighting, aftermarket cupholders, and a gun rack in the rear cargo area. A touchscreen Pioneer head unit with a rear-view camera is linked to an Alpine amplifier and speakers, as well as an active JL Audio subwoofer. The shifter linkage was rebuilt in 2016, and the rear window regulators are said to have been replaced recently.
Instrumentation includes a 110-mph speedometer and a centrally-mounted tachometer. The six-digit odometer shows 148k miles, approximately 250 of which have been added by the selling dealer. The 6.0-liter GM Vortec V8 was installed by Clark Automotive of Macon, Tennessee in 2017 and is equipped with a K&N cold-air intake, an aluminum radiator, and a custom exhaust system. The seller states that an oil change was recently performed, and an invoice for the engine swap totaling $23,607 can be viewed in the image gallery below, along with other refurbishment notes and receipts. Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission fitted with an Advanced adapter kit and a dual-range transfer case that was reportedly rebuilt by Clark Automotive
The August 2020 Carfax report lists an accident in 1991 as well as damage to the roof and front left side in 2016. A mileage inconsistency is shown in April 2018, and entries from April 1990 through February 2020 indicate history in Alaska, Texas, Tennessee, Connecticut, and Illinois. A video production featuring the exterior, interior, and drive-by clips is presented below, and additional footage of the truck can be viewed here.
