A sweet stocky 1972 FJ40 brought to you by Sun Valley Auto Club in Hailey, ID Classic 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 4×4 Classic Land Cruiser restored to factory specifications. No lifts or engine swap here. This FJ40 is true and correct. Toyota brand parts only used in this restoration. This FJ has great metal under the freshly painted Hudson green, an OEM Toyota color. We took a paint meter to it and found no rust and all factory sheet metal and factory welds. One of the cleanest FJ40’s we have ever come across. 1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser Frame off restoration
LOVE THE MUSTARD!!! 1978, the last year of the classic round bezel and most sought after in those models. The restoration started with a cosmetic overhaul after all mechanical checks and maintenance. The whole truck was torn down piece by piece and attended to. The rear tub was replaced with an aluminum aqualu tub upgrade ($5000)……no worries of ever rusting! (The FJ tubs were susceptible to rust especially at the rocker panels and rear quarters due to poor quality sheet metal.) All new Toyota OEM replacements were used when available. Here is a very nice 1980 Land Cruiser. It has low miles and is in excellent condition. It has factory power steering, new tires, rims, upholstery, fuel tank and fuel system related , and any and all other small parts that didn’t measure up or showed wear. All systems work including factory washers and horn. The only thing not stock is emissions. the original owner de-smogged it 20 years ago. The truck came to me in excellent condition to begin with.
